Hi, I’m Hester.  

I was raised in a culture of rest.

As a little girl, I remember my mother & grandmother resting. Their example taught me to nap, read, and dream.

But as I entered adulthood, their rest wisdom took a backseat as I felt the cultural pressure towards “doing”. When I started health coaching in 2010, I noticed many of the women I was supporting were simply too exhausted to make lifestyle changes. What they really needed was REST! And I did too.

I found the Daring to Rest method in 2020 when I was exhausted, and have been resting almost daily since.

When I prioritize 15-35 min of Yoga Nidra during the day, my sleep is deeper at night. I have beautiful dreams, and look forward to a deep healing sleep.

After experiencing the power of Yoga Nidra for myself in my personal practice, I became a Daring to Rest Certified Rest Coach and Daring to Rest Certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator trained in The Rested Path™.

  • Sessions are currently available Thursdays and Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time. I recommend checking availability prior to purchasing your packages at: https://hesterkohlwellness.as.me/

  • Availability is Thursdays & Fridays from 10 am-4 pm Eastern Time. Choose your rest package above, purchase, and you’ll be taken to my online calendar. You can either book all your sessions at once or use a code to book them as you go.

    You’ll also be able to reschedule sessions as needed at least 48 hours prior to the schedule appointment.

  • The 6-session packages have themes of “Finding your Rested Voice” or “Releasing Ancestral Exhaustion”.

    If you choose the 3-session “Sacred pause” package, you have the option of choosing a theme such as honoring grief, honoring fear, tuning into wisdom & intuition, and releasing what no longer serves you.

  • We’ll begin with a short relaxation scan to transition into our time together and notice how you are feeling. We’ll take time to check in and share how you are arriving in our session.

    Receive rest coaching from Hester on your choice of topics to help you establish a home rest practice and plan for a more rested lifestyle.

    You’ll prepare your body and mind for rest with a releasing exercise. Then, you’ll lie down in your bed or other cozy spot with blankets and pillows and enjoy a Yoga Nidra nap. You’ll receive a recording of the Yoga Nidra so that you can rest between rest sessions.

    After Yoga Nidra, share any soul wisdom that comes up for you and create your own customized rest prescription.

  • Rest from the comfort of your home, anywhere in the world. Your choice of Zoom or telephone to connect. You always have the option to turn off your camera on Zoom.

  • Gift a rest session to a woman you love. Receive a gift certificate that can be printed or emailed to her.
